With the addition stresses associated with academic studying it’s not surprising that people in education are at increased risk of anxiety, depression and other mental health issues. For this reason, I am willing to offer a discounted price of £30 per session (Counselling) and £40 per session (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) to any client who can prove that they are a UK 18+ student by showing a valid student id.
Many education providers employ counsellors that can be accessed by students so it might be worth contacting you place of study to investigate this first. However, if you’re worried about being placed on a waiting list or would just rather talk to someone further afield then I would love to hear from you.
Keeping it Green
I feel that it is the responsibility of businesses to minimise their environmental impact. To this end I aim to keep my practice as green as possible. I do this by.
Minimising travel emissions. Offering counselling online eliminates the carbon emission normally created from commuting to and from the counselling room.
Staying paper free. All documentation required as part of the counselling process is stored electronically, eliminating the need for paper waste.
What if I need help right now?
I would always recommend contacting the Samaritans if you are in immediate distress. While not counsellors, there listening volunteers have extensive training in order to support callers. It is a 100% free 24 hour confidential service staffed by many kind a compassionate people. For more information see www.samaritans.org.
If you are in serious risk contact the emergency services.
